“A powerful force on the stage”

Wendy Gibb, The Morrisburg Leader

Keegan Larose blends the storytelling styles of Folk music with Adult Alternative, Pop and Rock, delivering a dynamic performance that engages his audience, leaving them with musical earworms that linger.

Born and raised in Cornwall, Ontario, Keegan Larose began playing guitar and writing songs in his early teenage years. He quickly took to the stage soon after, becoming a regular at open mic and jam nights throughout the city. Before graduating secondary school, Keegan could be seen at cafes, pubs and concert venues performing with a variety of music groups as well as a solo artist.

Cutting his teeth along the St. Lawrence River, Keegan made his way to the city of Hamilton, where he studied guitar and Jazz music at Mohawk College, and began his teaching career with private music lessons. There he engulfed himself in the rich arts communities, performing music of all kinds with different acts, including Folk, Rock, Jazz, and Ska.

Keegan’s 2020 self-titled debut EP features carefully crafted songs with themes of loss, finding purpose and learning to enjoy the little things in life every day, and has been described as "a good choice to get you out of the blues and into the light" (Jay Freeman, Divide and Conquer). His works with Hamilton based Ska band, Stork and the Baby Makers, can be heard on college radio stations nationwide, and has made its way across the globe.

Keegan continues to perform throughout Ontario, and owns and operates Seaway Valley Music Academy in Cornwall, where he works with students of all kinds to achieve their goals.

"A singer-songwriter that embodies the spirit of Cornwall."
